We have various goals:

One of our biggest goals is to make it affordable for the “man in the street “or actually the “man/women in the tote” to be able to also have the joy of owning a share in a racehorse. We want to make it able for them to sit at the tote and to tell family and friends he/she has shares in a particular horse running and that will give them the “bragging rights” for it.

We also have a goal to attract “new people” to the game, people who have never before been involved in the game and introduce them to the thrills and spills of racing.

We want to be able to accommodate the person who particulary only have a few thousand rand but is willing to invest it in a racehorse to be able to also enjoy owning a racehorse.We want to be able to bring them to the racecourse on big race days to also experience the thrill of “come racing”.

Another goal is to make it easier and quicker to sell a horse or just a share in a horse and not to have to wait for an auction.

Also, we want to provide a platform for breeders to be able to sell their horses in full or just a share, from weanlings to ready to race horses.

Assist a trainer who buys horses on spec to find owners /shareholders in the spec horse.

We are also looking to implement a new way of auctioning a horse where you would bid to buy just a share in a horse, for example a horse would come on a sale but only 60% is available, so bidding end on, for instance, R100 000 but you would then only pay R60 000 (plus other costs). We already had some preliminary talks with auctioneers and according to them it can be done. This particular way will be handy for breeders who are looking to retain a percentage ownership in a well bred well related filly.
